What can we do?

One of the ways we can directly help is to give Tzedaka. Many organisations and individuals are running very worthy campaigns that will provide much needed support to Israel and the IDF. Magen DAVID ADOM

Dear Friends,
 
After the passing of my grandfather Paul Venze, Pesach ben David HaCohen V'Chenka a"h, last year, my family has been thinking about the right way to honour his memory, a man of tzedaka, kindness and integrity.

We went back and forth a bit but eventually decided to support Magen David Adom, as giving blood was one of his passionate causes, along with my grandmother Charlotte a"h.

Working with Glynis Lipson, our local MDA rep, we decided to fund the purchase of as many Blood transfusion devices as we can get (each roughly $6300 AUD, see below). These devices allow for mobile blood donation to be effective.

And then, war broke out.

And now, these devices are more urgent than ever. Glynis has also told me that they need to get as many blood bags as they can, with great urgency.
So, I have decided to open up this little family fundraiser to you, as well in hopes we can raise $100,000 in the next 48 hours.

CHAI - Operation Golda

URGENT ASK: $ Donations needed. (Tax-deductible)

We need to provide emergency first aid materials to the ambulances in Israel now.

With the unprecedented violence and injury we are witnessing, suppliers in Israel are exhausting their stock of the lifesaving stock they need to save civilian lives.

We have partnered with Magen David Adom (MDA) and managed to identify, verify and source in Australia the specific items needed to stock their ambulances.

Twenty thousand units of burn dressing, ten thousand units of cat tourniquets, ten thousand units of haemostatic gauze, twenty five thousand units of first care bandage, space blankets and rescue scissors are just some of what is needed and needed now.

We have a direct request. We have sourced the items, we have a shipping method, customs and vat issues cleared and we have a direct pathway to Israel to reach the ambulances in 2-3 days.

We need your help to action this ask. A detailed cost breakdown is totalling close to $750,000 AUD and we need to add approximately $100,000 AUD for freight.
